DS3 antenna

Deep Space 3 – Malargüe is the most modern antenna for monitoring deep space exploration missions of the European Space Agency (ESA), installed in the province of Mendoza by agreement between Argentina and ESA, through the current space cooperation between the European agency and CONAE.

The Argentine scientific community has time to use the DS3 deep space exploration antenna for radio astronomy research, among other applications. Having these capabilities installed in our country means access to the use of cutting-edge technology for scientific research, taking into account that the Malargüe station is the most modern in the European agency’s Deep Space Network.
