Blas Brisoli Dam
Also called the Malargüe River Dam, since it dams the waters of the river of the same name.
This mountain river flows impetuously from 2,500 m above sea level to flow into the surroundings of the Llancanelo Lagoon. The distribution dam, south of Malargüe, allows the irrigation of more than 5,000 hectares of land, in addition to providing potable water for Malargüe’s consumption. A small park of old trees and a campsite allow for recreation for visitors.
There is a Trout Hatchery on site, a productive establishment. Trout Hatchery with more than 8,000 specimens. This fish farm does not have breeders, currently embryonated eggs are purchased in the South. It has a small private fishing preserve. The trout is ready for sale when it weighs over 250 gr. It supplies the Malargüino Market, Las Leñas, neighboring departments and has made incursions into the Mendoza market.
Next to the trout farm there is a campsite with all services (electricity, hot and cold water, supplies, etc.)
It has a restaurant where dishes based on trout are prepared.
